Wedding Fever?

We are getting so excited! Charlie's in Los Angeles partying while I'm at home working on wedding things. :) So, he may or may not be getting excited, but I'm pretty sure he is.

I've been asked what the wedding colors are recently, and they are gold, purple and turquoise. You can check out the post below for some inspiring photos, but really, wear what you want.

Here are some recent photos for your viewing pleasure.

One Month To Go!!!

We hope you've RSVPed and found a place to stay! Please remember to call us with any questions.

We found out we'll definitely be getting married at the cottage, the same spot where the reception will be, so that means later if people want to go check out the llamas and goats and lavender labyrinth they'll be able to, but since their store is open until 6 that day and the ceremony begins at 2, we won't be able to have the actual ceremony there.

We also sadly found out that our dog, Oso, will not make it down with us. After thinking long and hard about it, we decided to board him rather than taking him on the excursion. I was really sad, but after some thought, realized that he probably won't be too offended.

Again, let us know if you have any questions! My number is 612.991.7584 and Charlie's is 612.991.7184.

Thanks!!! We're getting super excited to see everyone!!!

We will be getting married at Blueberry Cottage, under the awning, with the reception following in the same location, for convenience and scenery! :)

More info to follow!

By the way, some folks have been asking about Registries. We're registered at Amazon.com, Target, and Crate & Barrel, along with a few items on a public wishlist at Anthropologie. We also made a small list of things at CB2, it's www.cb2.com -- Crate and Barrel's partner store, just for some extra ideas. We update the registries often! Thanks!

I Would Go On Choosing You...

Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest human beings infinite distances continue, a wonderful living side by side can grow, if they succeed in loving the distance between them which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky.
Rilke

Love is cheesy. Eat it.

We are registered at Target, Amazon.com, and Crate & Barrel. We also created a public wishlist at Anthropologie, for those inclined to shop at that store.

Save the Date!

We are going to get married on Saturday, September 25th, 2010 in Burnsville, North Carolina. It's a lavender, blueberry and goat farm where Hilary worked for a couple of years, and also the place that we had our first American vacation together.

This is where the wedding will be: http://www.mountainfarm.net/lavenderwedding.html

Bring a smile, your dancing shoes, and as far as dress... beautiful, funky, fabulous, creative, mid 18th century.. whatever! For us, it's not a formal occasion--it's a once-in-a-lifetime celebration!

Have you ever seen a sight as beautiful
as that of the rain-soaked purple
of the white birch in spring?

Have you ever felt more fresh or wonderful
than on a warm fall night
under a Mackerel sky,
the smell of grapes on the wind?

Well I have known all these things
and the joys that they can bring
And I'll share them all for a cup of coffee
and to wear your ring

Have you ever had the pleasure of watching
a quiet winter's snow slowly gathering
like simple moments adding up?

Have you ever satisfied a gut feeling
to follow a dry dirt road that's beckoning you
to the heart of a shimmering summer's day?

Well I have known all these things
and the joys that they can bring
And I'll share them all for a cup of coffee
and to wear your ring

And I don't know how I survived those days
before I held your hand
Well I never thought that I would be the one
to admit that the moon and the sun
shine so much more brighter when
seen through two pairs of eyes than
when seen through just one

Have you ever seen a sight as beautiful
as a face in a crowd of people
that lights up just for you?

Have you ever felt more fresh or wonderful
as when you wake
by the side of that boy or girl
who has pledged their love to you?

Well I have known all these things
and the joys that they can bring
And now every morning there's a cup of coffee
and I wear your ring.

Anniversary Song, Cowboy Junkies.

For one human being to love another; that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation.
Rilke.

and it's ever-present everywhere... ... warm love
